This list is to promote efficient use of SolidWorks. This list is NOT sponsored by or affiliated with in any way to the SolidWorks Corporation. Below are the rules of the list, make sure you read them.
*** Rules When Posting to the List ***
1) Do not post any private discussions. If you accidentally send a private e-mail to the list, as soon as possible, send a post to the list stating that you did so.
2) Do not upload files attached to your posts. Do it privately. Or post your file to an internet site to allow users to download them at their convenience.
3) Do not mail "documents" to the list, post the URL address. e.g: http://www.????.com/index.htm
4) No name calling, flaming, profane words, personal attacking, etc.
5) No bashing of SolidWorks software, or their partner software.
6) No advertising, or promotion of any personal products or services.
a) If someone posts a question about SolidWorks and you sell a product that is directly related to answering his post, you can post your response as long as it isn't a "canned" advertisement.
b) No advertising of other e-mail lists. When in doubt, ask first before posting.
7) Discussion of other CAD packages, IGES translators and translation techniques, SolidWorks partner's products are only permitted if it has to do with its relationship to SolidWorks CAD software. This is not a forum for discussion of other CAD packages.
8) Use CAPS SPARINGLY, this is considered as "shouting".
9) Delete unnecessary headers, footers, and/or the unnecessary portions of the previous post you are replying to when you post your reply.
10) In your reply, please indicate who is speaking, and try to include relevant portions of the previously written text, so readers can follow what you are replying to. Use of ">" style of replying is encouraged.
11) Do not send jokes or short posts to the list such as: "yes", "amen", "OK" or other short, non-edifying posts, send them privately. Do not send "virus alerts". Short acceptable posts may include an announcement that you are going to be absent from the list for a short period of time.
12) Questions about operating system error messages should be kept to a minimum. SolidWorks has excellent support in this regard.
13) All participants of this list should be users of registered copies of SolidWorks. This is not a technical support forum for users of illegally obtained copies of SolidWorks.
14) This list is not to gather names for your use to SPAM participants.
